Meet Your NPTE Coach

I'm Will Crane, PT, DPT, OCS, founder and head coach of PT Final Exam. Thank you for taking the time to research which NPTE prep course is the right fit for you.

Why students trust PT Final Exam

I started PT Final Exam in 2012 to build the most effective NPTE prep course available. Since then, we've coached more than 25,000 PTs and PTAs as they raised their scores and passed the NPTE. Everything in this course is built around one goal: making your next attempt your last.

The two keys to passing the NPTE

  • Study strategy: a clear plan for how to study and how to approach NPTE-style questions
  • Content review: structured, in-depth review of the full FSBPT content outline

This course covers both, with live coaching on strategy and many hours of guided content review.

What sets PT Final Exam apart

  1. Taught by practicing clinicians. I still treat patients, and I recently studied for and passed the OCS exam. We teach you to pass the NPTE and to think like an excellent clinician.
  2. A supportive, professional learning environment. Our small groups are positive, inclusive, and moderated, so you can ask questions with confidence.
  3. 100% original, FSBPT- and copyright-compliant content. Using pirated or recalled exam material can put your eligibility to sit for the NPTE at risk. Every question and resource in our course is original.
  4. Enterprise-grade learning platform. Videos, practice exams, and live webinars are delivered on professional, reliable tools.
  5. Trusted by universities. We coach university cohorts across the U.S. as they prepare for the NPTE.

Who this course is for

If standardized exams are a struggle for you, this course was built for you. We specialize in students who need extra support: first-time and repeat test-takers, foreign-trained clinicians, nontraditional students, clinicians returning after a lapsed license, and students with learning differences. Whether this is your first attempt or your sixth, we can help.

  • Responsive, personal student support
  • A focused, results-driven approach
  • Taught by practicing clinicians
  • An enterprise-grade learning platform
  • Small-group study sessions

This is the original NPTE coaching course, and we publish unedited student reviews, not just hand-picked testimonials.

You'll get 80+ hours of NPTE content, including on-demand modules on lymphatics and gait analysis, more than 1,000 pages of written material, an on-demand video library, and direct access to NPTE experts for your questions.

How Our NPTE Review Course Works

The course uses a hybrid model, the same approach many universities now use, combining live sessions with on-demand content.

Each week starts with a live coaching session covering practice questions, case studies, and content review. You then work through assigned workbook sections and on-demand lectures at your own pace, and we reconvene the following week to answer your questions.

This structure delivers strong outcomes. We've helped thousands of students pass the NPTE, and we can help you too.

Can This Course Raise My NPTE Score?

"The advice that Will provided on how to set up an individualized study/review plan really set the tone for the 8 weeks that I had to review for the exam... I was fortunate enough to pass with an 800 in October, and believe that PT Final Exam played a vital role in that result!"

— Mike, DPT

What Does an NPTE Prep Course Cost?

NPTE prep shouldn't break the bank. Courses with this much live instruction and this length of access typically cost $3,000 to $6,000.

With PT Final Exam, you get about twice the content for less than half the price: $997 for 12 months of access, with payment plans available.

14-day money-back guarantee · Every live session recorded · 12 months of access

“BEST REVIEW OUT THERE!!!! I cannot emphasize enough how amazing this course is! I did the “live” review and it truly was worth every penny! Will and the other instructors taught me how to study and helped with pointing out the highlights of the main topics which needed to be known for the test. On the PEAT I made a 608 and pulled off 713 on my first attempt on the NPTE! Do yourself a huge favor and enroll into this course! You won’t regret it!!!!”

How to Pass the NPTE

Whether this is your first attempt or your sixth, PT Final Exam can help you clear this hurdle.

To pass the NPTE, the national physical therapy licensure exam, you have to think like the NPTE. Successful test-takers learn the content, then learn to apply it to new clinical situations. In this course, we work through NPTE-style practice questions, patient case studies, and content review so you're ready on test day.

Need state-required NPTE remediation?

We can help you meet state-required NPTE remediation requirements. Requirements vary by state, so confirm the details with your state board. When you complete the course, we can issue a certificate of completion for your board.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I have access to the course?
You have 12 months of access from the date of purchase.
How is the VIP(T) Live course different from the Independent course?
The VIP(T) Live course works like a university course, with live lectures, small-group coaching, and direct access to instructors. The Independent course is a self-paced video library with about half as much prerecorded content and no live webinars.
How is PT Final Exam different from other NPTE prep providers?
We focus on test application and clinical reasoning, not memorization, and we back it with responsive, personal support from licensed PTs. You also get about twice the content of comparable courses at less than half the price.
I need this for state-required remediation. Can I get a certificate of completion?
Absolutely. With a good-faith effort to participate in the live online course, you can get a certificate of completion upon request.
What is the pass rate for PT Final Exam students?
Students who fully participate, completing the assignments and attending the live classes, have a pass rate above 95%. That result is especially meaningful given who we work with. Many students join after an unsuccessful attempt. Many are renewing a lapsed license, some 10 or even 25 years out of school. Many are foreign-trained, a group with an industry-wide pass rate of about 30%. These figures come from post-exam surveys we've given our students for the past 5 years.
What is your average score increase?
Most students improve by about 50 points over their previous attempt, and some have improved by more than 120 points.
Are live sessions recorded? What if I miss one?
Yes. Every session is recorded and posted in the course, so you can catch up on anything you miss or review a session again. The player supports up to 2x speed.
Do I get access to the crash course series with this course?
Yes! You'll get access to the current series of crash courses going over major topics like MSK, NM, and CP on the exam.
What if I'm not satisfied with the course?
If you're not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Refunds aren't available after 14 days or once more than 25% of the course content has been viewed.

“As I progressed through your course, I was scoring higher on practice exams than I ever had. The sense of community provided by the other students and instructors helped me to rebuild the confidence I once had. I was actually comparing and differentiating the characteristics of pathologies, practicing special tests, and reviewing textbooks unlike past attempts. Everything about the PT Final Exam course worked for me! I improved my score of 597 on my second attempt, to 706 on my third. A 109-point improvement!”
